It is shown in its place, with a small status here from the alpine country. The days go by and we get closer and closer to what should have been the opening of the ski resort here in Alpe d'huez. It's a bit tragicomic to think that Saturday 28/11 should be the opening day, because all the locals and the lifts should be up and running. But here is no snow. As in absolutely nothing. Only a few mm of artificial snow, like the cannons, have begun to spray out. We can 't use that for anything.

That being said, Macron last night announced that lock-Down has 3 end phases. Where the first one starts already now on Saturday. So despite the fact that we should have been on the first ski trip on Saturday, we can now rejoice that the first things gradually open on Saturday.

From Saturday 28 November 2020
• All non-essential shops can re-open until 21.00 and must of course follow all guidelines (mouthpieces etc.)

• The 1km rule (incl. 1 hour) is changed to up to 20km and up to 3 hours a day you may be away from your home. (Still steady with a certificate)

After school activities (outdoors) may reopen.

The next stage of the opening will take place on December 15, if all precautions are still observed and the number of infected stays below 5000 per day.

From December 15, 2020 - (if the infection remains down)
• Lockdown ends and certificates will no longer be needed to move away from home.

Travel between regions and gathering with family and friends is allowed. Large public gatherings are not allowed.

Private meetings are again allowed, but must be kept as small as possible, however, no number is set.

• From 21.00-07.00 there will be a curfew throughout the country, with the exception of 24 and 31 December.

• Indoor school activities can start again Cinemas, theater and museums can open with strict guidelines

The next opening phase will be on January 20, if infection rates remain low.

From 20 January, the following openings will be decided in France:
• Restaurants, cafes, gyms and sports centers

• Opening for physical education of the older children and full-time universities (where they are currently running physically and half online)

• Abolition of curfew (21.00-07.00)

And now you're probably thinking, what's going to happen to us then? What is our status in all this?

Macron said the following about ski destinations: "It seems impossible to plan and open ski resorts up until Christmas, but we strive to open sometime in January." However, there is no firm announcement yet, and a final decision should be made within 10 days, ie no later than 5 December. It means for us that once again we have to have ice in our stomachs and wait. Waiting for a final announcement so we can find out when our guests can start and arrive. We would like to give you #TheBestTime and an unforgettable ski holiday here with us. So we gather our energy and strength and make sure that the hotels are completely ready for you as soon as we open with all the corona guidelines and litres of alcohol. Both for your hands and your palate 😉

Macron's announcement has set all ski destinations and restaurateurs on social media #JeSuisUneStation and #JeSuisRestaurateur . Of course, we support this and hope to make a little noise so that the dear restaurants, cafes and shops at all ski destinations get some attention. For puha, how have they just been hit by this round!

As a wise man once said to us. There are two types of people "Sacrifice" and "Warrior". " It's safe to say we've fallen victim to a pandemic, but we've got a hell of a warrior mentality and are ready for you as soon as we can! 😉
